I have been in Adelaide for more than 4 years now, and find people here to be the opposite of "stingy and selfish". Friendly, helpful, kind and generous are the words I would use.

Be very careful. If you lose your job here, you will struggle to find another. It looks good but you can't judge a book by it's cover. Winter is bleak, especially for older peple. Summer is just the opposite. Adelaide has derived its population, mainly from the be warned!

There is not enough money going around, people are stingy & selfish, its a rat race to nothing significant. One cannot make it here, no opportunity. This city bleeds you dry of any finances & posessions you have.
