Imagine if you picked a fight with someone and got your ass kicked. Then tried to jump over a wall to get away only to be snatched off the wall to be backflipped kicked in the head. If you listen, you'll hear the surviving baby give a distress cry, and it's THEN that mama rockets in to save that baby.  Maybe the one who died (the "second bunny" looks more like the fur mama used to line the nest; I think only one died) didn't have a chance to give a distress cry before the racer started constricting it.  :(  If you watch in slow motion, the baby who is at the top of the frame actually escapes from the coils of the snake after mama attacks.  Go mama!!!

Don't mess with a rabbit's bunnies. The snake tried to run away, but the mother rabbit wasn't having it. She let it know that her bunnies are off limits. That snake probably watched too many Disney movies.
