Guys, we weren’t taught how to do our taxes in school either I don’t know where you’re getting that impression! Most of us asked our parents, or looked up how these things work on YouTube, google, etc. There’s more information available to people now than ever! Just gotta do a little digging😊. Through looking for the answers to your problems yourself you’ll find you become more self sufficient, which will improve your self respect (much more effective than self esteem) and help a lot of the self diagnosed depression and anxiety that thrives in Gen Z. As you guys grow you’ll realize life just isn’t fair and you’re going to have to deal with and work through the flaws of your elders. Your generation will cause problems for the next, as each does, not because we don’t care about the futures of others, but because we are all human and all possess the same potential for greed, corruption, and all of the other behaviors we THINK we are above. But we’re not. Millennials really do want to help and be there for Gen Z, because we (and every generation before us, remember the hippies??) recognize and had the same rebellious and boundary pushing energy you have!! I know it sucks to look at your future and wonder how it stacks up to those that came before you, but rather than saying “what’s the point?” And giving up, I encourage us all to keep trying in the service of the betterment of being. I don’t mean to come off preachy, I work with high school through college students and believe there is so much good and potential within Gen Z, they just need guidance, like we wanted too.💛
