I'm a Rosie fan from Queensland Australia and after watching a couple of episodes, this channel stands on its own merits, especially this one. Subscribed

Dave is a true craftsman I love his shop. I’ve also want to comment earlier that you have put together a talented group of shipwrights, the youngsters are more talented than their age. This shows a passion for the craft of building and maintaining these wonderful boats.

Beautiful knives and a wonderful connection to the F/V Western Flyer. Amazing timing to be going by the Flyer at the very moment that piece of iron bark fell off. So glad he managed to catch it. Thank you for showcasing this gentleman and his wonderful craft.

Chris, when the Western Flyer gets back in the water, I think you should continue making these videos on all aspects of boat building in the Northwest. The stories, characters, workshops, tools etc are all fascinating and very enjoyable to watch. Thanks for all you do.

In this crazy world we live in it is so nice to watch a video like this. A man who has had an honest life and is willing to share. I have no grumbles about my own life but I do look at the craftsman in boat building and restoration, the characters like Dave that you come across and I do drift and think what if I took another turn all those years ago. I’ve been a soldier, a sailor (domestic) I.m now a father and husband. No regrets in any, but if could be 16 again? Love watching these videos. Thank you for sharing.

Chris, you did great finding this gentleman and even better letting the story be about him, and editing yourself out. You are both pros. What fantastic experience Dave has. Really great episode.

Here because of Leo and Rosie et al.. Reluctant to subscribe lots of channels as I get mentality invested in the human story unfolding. Happy now to also regard the Western Flyer restoration.

Its really refreshing, to see a guy like Dave produce a craftman made article with such passion and attention to detail. Nice one Dave. Nice to see Rosie is moving over from the Tally Ho to the Western Flyer but I was watching both projects and realy enjoy the skills of wooden boat building. Greetings to all from across the pond.
