The 13 year old boy backpedals away as the assassin steps forward out of the darkness, pistol in hand.

“What the hell do you want with me?!” The boy screams still clinging to his art book.

“Me?” The man laughs, “I don’t have any problem with you. I’m just here to kill the monster you will become.”

The boy looks at the man’s outfit, and realizes it is not of his time. The boy some how becomes even more terrified than he already was, “you’re... you’re from the future?”

“Yes, I’m from a future where you exist, ” a gun shot rings out, “now I’m from a future where you don’t.”

In a flash of blue light the assassin is gone. Leaving only the corpse of a 13 year old boy from Vienna. The world would not remember an art student with a mild passion for politics. No one would miss some child who dreamed of being a German war hero, a boy too afraid to send those love letters to the girl he couldn’t confront.

The whole world would forget little Adolf Hitler, and I guess that was the point.

The 12 year old Russian boy turns to face his attacker, “My name is Joseph Stalin! And I won’t be intimidated by you!”
