Absolutely delicious thanks for showing your content on sweet chestnut, I have a wild tree in the north east of England very rare which I collect from old land of what now the land owner has very lucky I have bags of free chestnuts .

There is a tree outside the house where I live. Today I found out it's a Chestnut tree! It's Autumn here in South Africa. I didn't know that Chestnuts grow here!

I have a chestnut tree on my allotment so far I have been a waste of time, however it inspired to forage elsewhere with better results

Why are the smaller ones not worth your time? Is it because they are fiddly to de-shell?
