Six Flags Mexico is the countries largest amusement park, boasting 9 roller coasters, several thrilling flat rides, and tons of family attractions. It's very pretty and scenic, leading it to being called one of the best Six Flags parks. But is all as it seems?

What the heck happened during your visit? When I went last year, I thought the operations were some of the best in the world. I also had no problems remaining in my seat when there were walk ons. sorry to hear this wasn’t the case for you guys

As mexican, I totally agree with the video.
I am a Six Flags México Fan since 2013, but since COVID the park went downhill, Idk why but some employees are like very rude. I rode Batman years ago and they did let me put my phone on the slot. But 3 weeks ago they didnt.
Also, the dark knight coaster line wait was "5 minutes" but I spent 45 minutes. They need to improve so much things

I just returned from a 3 day weekend in Mexico City. This park far and away exceeded my expectations. Once you figure out the park specific policies (and they are very consistent, such as stapling, no loose articles left in station), and just enjoy the incredible atmosphere, engage with the very friendly and professional staff (had ONLY 10/10 interactions with all employees, which cannot be said for any of the other 10 six flags parks I’ve visited), and just vibe with this place. The theming, architecture, music, everything adds up to a very wonderful experience. Even though it’s primarily a typical cloned coaster layout lineup, the top two are world class and can stand up to any other “top two” out there, and the rides are all well maintained and the ops are very efficient. We saw five mechanics feverishly working on getting wheels replaced on a second train for Superman el Ultimo Escape so it could get it online asap. The food is phenomenal. Who cares if your dining plan is tricky? I paid $6US for a PHENOMENAL taco meal, which would blow away ANY theme park taco meal anywhere else on earth.
I can easily overlook the few small negative quirks when the overall experience is well above average for Six Flags.

I was there today, and I can confirm that most of your concerns have been addressed.

They weren't strict about loose articles - could use the storage at each ride. Items round waist were also ok for most rides.

They were running two trains for all rides as soon as it got busy.

I was able to do a repeat on Batman.

Didn't stay till closing, so can't comment on that.

As an American living in Mexico, I can tell you that one thing I've noticed is that employees here are very procedural. They always seem to follow the protocols of where they work very strictly.
Edit: PS, also definitely get to SF Mexico at least once so you can buy a platinum season pass for only like 70 bucks!!

I'd love for Mexico should be getting a theme park boom, like they've had for our water parks. The Six Flags on Mexico City could benefit from competitors both local and foreign.
Also, the park was once an hacienda, so that's not 'Spanish theming', that's just historical buildings 😅

I loved six flags Mexico. Medusa was amazing. The queue lines for Medusa and Joker were bizarre. Batman was so painful, it was interesting that the parking lot is dirt. It was a great time there.

My grandma from Ecuador has planned a trip to go to Mexico City. I told my grandma, "Six Flags Mexico is there, you may be too old for rollercoasters (she is 76 now), but I want to ride the rollercoasters there." The planning started in September 2022, but when she got back home that November, she fell ill, confined to her home for the rest of 2022 and all of 2023. When 2024 came, she was told she could travel, but must monitor her health. She spent 3 weeks in Peru in February and just today, told me she is in good health. April is cheaper for my grandma to fly to Los Angeles and since it is cheaper to book tickets a month in advance and I want to avoid crowds, I will take a flight on May 1 with a late night departure from Los Angeles arriving in Mexico City on May 2, which I will go to Six Flags Mexico. I will arrivne home late night May 4 so I can study on May 5, considering May 6 is a Monday.

That's awesome that you complimented my home park like that. That makes me proud of where I live. But I'm sorry you guys went through that. That sounds like a horrible management issue.

Estoy completamente de acuerdo con todo lo que dices. Ojalá la administración del parque vea este video y hagan algo al respecto.

This is a huge surprise. Every other review I've heard of this park from someone else was extremely positive claiming it to be one of the best in the chain. Maybe this was just one of those times where the visit was just unlucky somehow. It's rare but it does happen every now and then.

I literally just got back from SF Mexico and I have say that I agree with you 100%. Later in on the day they did decide to add two more cars on each ride, partly due to the Halloween event. The locker system does suck but we managed to sneak in some articles in our jackets 😂 The queues were inaccurate but I did get the flash pass and that saved a lot of time and emotional distress.

I hope you do an updated La Ronde review. Would love to see how you compare the return trip to that first time.

Fun fact: During the year Michael Jackson passed away 15 years ago, In Mexico three mega dance choreographies were organized as a tribute, one in the Revolution Monument with Thriller (the biggest dance that we broke a Guiness Record... we couldn't get the diploma because the organizers didn't payed the fee, no that is not a joke), two on the Independence Angel roundabout with Beat it and three on this park with Thriller, we practiced the choreography on Batman Stage show... stage and the main event was made on the parking lot of the now Hall of Justice entrance, I said we because I participated in all of them :) .

Also... I think that when you went you had bad luck with the employees, because they can be either the funniest people you can meet and even give you a second ride if the waiting line is little to none, though they do act a little... rough if you use curse words.

So sad to hear that happened to you! Me personally have experienced both great and mediocre experiences on SF Mexico. Both on high season, and the critical points were those that you mention. I do believe the administration must focus on fixing this issue with their personnel and be more flexible with their policies. I do love a functional park that's welcoming to tourist from outside my country.

Hope you give it another shot in the future and hopefully have a much better experience

Keep the great vids coming!

I had the best time at this park. Best memory was they had a dance off to offer free rewrite on Superman. Those waiting in the station would vote. They were running two trains, so this made it extra fun.😊

Okay hear me out. I’d love to see a Cedar Fair theme park here in Mexico as an alternative to Six Flags. We don’t have so many big parks in the country so that would be a nice addition.
