As someone who's used drone professionally I do actually love the Neo compared to the other higher quality DJI Drones simply because of the size and the setup time if i want to shoot something quick for Social's or maybe just personal use

This is bang-on with practical considerations. There's the saying "the best camera is the one you have with you" The fact the new Flip isn't pocketable makes it a waste of money compared to the Mini. The Neo is the take with you everywhere easily and it's practically indestructible.

I have and still use a DJI Mini 2 as a cinematic camera drone, the Neo is not a replacement for the Mini 2 or the Mini 4k (basically the same), the quality is good enough for what I do with it and I have large canvas prints in my living room from combining multiple 12mp images and they look great, I have now purchased the DJI Neo fly more with the N3 Goggles and the Motion Controller and also bought the FPV Controller, the range of usability from hand launch no phone or RC to full FPV options is just a Genious Stroke from DJI and will allow people to start from scratch and build up their system as they evolve along the drone route! An added bonus if you purchase the DJI FPV controller 3 to complement the Neo or Avata 2 it can be connected to a PC and a compatible Simulator, I use Lift Off to practice my FPV flying to lower the crashes to my Neo when I go full manual control with the real drone :-)

I just purchased the Neo. Video was recommended to me by YouTube. Watching your video shots made me think of Northern Ireland. And sure enough, that’s where you are. Lol. My wife and I have visited your beautiful country twice in the last two years. And I bought this drone with the intention of bringing it the next time we go visit.

Although you don't need to pair it with your phone in autonomous modes, I strongly suggest you do. I had two scenarios in which I was sorry I didn't. One time I set it to follow me at high and far settings and it didn't want to land in my hand, I had to jump and grab it. The other time I set it to follow a friend on a motorcycle and I accidentally hit the drone with my top box on my car when I was following him and it blew it 50 meters back, I barely managed to pair it with my phone and used the Find My Drone feature to find it after I initially looked for it for 10 minutes and couldn't find it.

DJI are missing a gap in the market here because the Neo body design is perfect for the mini series so I'd like to see a Neo body with all the features of the Mini Pro 4, maybe one day

Handy, quick shooting, can fly high, only issue is on strong winds and in low light, never the less I'm amazed! Bought it after watching your early videos😁 thanks!

my little neo comes alone on all my bike rides...along with my new mini 4 pro..neo is quick and easy to grab a quick snippet ...great video

Bear in mind it costs less than most proffesional photographers would spend on their lens cleaning cloths

Good summary of the Neo, it has improved after much needed firmware updates. I didn't remember hearing you mention the noise that it makes, it's very annoying if your in a general public area, such as a city park. Thanks for sharing.

I'm too nervous to fly my dji pro 4 - it's just too pricey to risk. I believe this may be the option to go for. Great review.

I've added it to my cart, and can't wait for my next paycheck to check it outta there. 🤣 I actually thought the price was a scam online since I've never owned one because drones are usually so expensive. This takes personal footage and simple content creation to the next level IMO, I can't wait to step out of just gaming content! ❤❤

This drone makes the most sense for me. In Georgia, basically all parks are of lmits to drones. The areas where drones are generally allowed are of no interest for the most part. So spending $1000+ and registering just isn't worth it for the few minutes I might actually use a drone during a whole year.

I ended up going with the Mini 4K because when you factor in the price of the controller it's about the same price. I've been flying it for a week now and honestly I don't ever see a reason to even upgrade. 6.2 mile range, stunning & smooth 4K, 31 minute flight time and 24 mph winds!! 😊😊
