I have to digest this issue. There are some inconsistencies that I don’t fully understand, I’ll have to re-read. But tbh, I’m not mad at Charles at all. I think this shows growth in his character. He did what he had to do to save his people. He finally had a Magneto moment. If you mess with Magneto and move past all his actions, I don’t see why the same can’t be done for Charles. In addition, without his actions, Phoenix wouldn’t have been able to resurrect or even defeat Enigma. He was the OG as far as I can see!

I like this ending. Enigma is gone for good or somewhat. Moira finally got to live life as a normal person or somewhat normal adjacent. Charles goes to jail for being the massive hypocrite that he is.
