Review: 2021 Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye - Hilarious Excess

I review the 797 HP Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye and revel in the wonderfully hilarious excess of having nearly 800 HP in a rear wheel drive 4-door sedan. It's the epitome of this 21st century golden age of muscle that we're living in. While it doesn't come cheap ($80,090 starting including destination) and some German competitors may accelerate faster thanks to their all-wheel drive setups and have more luxurious interiors, none of them can match the Charger's loud supercharger whine, V8 roar or its boatloads of wheelspin. The Redeye Charger is truly a car that'll go down as being a legendary high-water mark in Mopar history. What do you think of the Charger Redeye? Thanks to Dodge for the opportunity to review this future collectible!

Your time stamps and comparison dialogue sets you above other journalists.

That supercharger whine sounds better than half the new songs on the radio you could be listening to 👹😼

Chevy should ask Dodge to design some wheels for the C8.

Unlike it’s german competitors the redeye will actually hold it’s value and be more reliable

The way you rejoice and laugh at every acceleration just sealed this thing as my next ride. I want to laugh like that too! 🤣

I still have fond memories of my 1970 Dodge Charger 383 Magnum with the Hurst Pistol Grip shifter. Went through a lot of tires and often seemed to burn out the points (yes it had a distributor with points that needed to be set). But I was able to chirp the tires as I went through all four gears! To me the car was awesome.
Thanks Matt for this great review of a modern automotive muscle car.

I would NEVER have the radio on in this car. His giddy laugh every time he stepped on it says it all.

"So you have 797 horsepower in a 4 door car that is practical"

I never thought I would hear those combinations of words put together, but I'm glad I did

my old man just picked one of these up a couple weeks ago. Had me take it for a spin and I have not felt anything like it in a sedan let alone a car lol. The sound of that super charger whine is awesome, but the feel of all that power and how responsive it is was out of this world. My ss camaro feels like such a toy compared to this absolute animal
