I didn’t realize how much I needed to see this. I’d always be self conscious about how long my zits would take to heal and feel like I was doing something wrong. This was really validating for me, thank you!

I personally only Pop pimples if I can clearly see the gunk and it hurts. I clean my hands and pop it. I clean it with a cotton pad and rinse it with water before drying it and leaving it. This works the best for me because I tend to get really hurting pimples and I sometimes just cant stand the pain of it. I dont get scars with that method btw. But I never pop them if I dont see gunk.

I use the effaclar spot treatment from LRP and it literally FLAKES OFF any pimple in 1 day. I've used it since I'm 15! It overly dries the spot and it just falls off. Amazing stuff!

If I don't pop it it just becomes a cyst acne. And I hate it when it happens.

Hormonal cystic ones on or around the jaw are the worst. I got so many of them when I got off birth control and turned 30.

Looks like it’s cystic! Hormonal, not much you can do to prevent it; you could have the best skincare routine in the world but sometimes we break out!
I found the more i do to them the longer they take to heal so as hard as it is to do dont touch it! Makes it so tender 😭

I just pop the hell out of them, till the "root" comes out and they're gone after 2 days

i picked at my zits while they were healing (bc im impatient) and they left brown scars. it’s been months. guys don’t pick at ur face!!!!

Literally my pimples started loving me since more than 1 years ago
And they turned into big scars and keep giving me scars and scars
And still won't leave me
Even though I don't love them 😭

I feel like the treatment didn't do anything to improve the healing time or the scarring, so I'd rather do nothing in this case, but I guess it feels nice taking care of your skin so that's also fine.
