In today's video I share a simple walkthrough on how to add a clickable link to your YouTube shorts.

I use this clickable link to link out to the long form video that the YouTube short is taken from.

YouTube has recently changed their rules around clickable links in the descriptions for Shorts - making them no longer clickable.

This is in response to scams and spam that was prevalent on the YT shorts.

This is an alternative and, in my opinion a better way to link out to a related or relevant video.

Hey folks, has anyone else noticed this? On YouTube artist channels, there seems to be a missing option to link shorts to their full-length counterparts, a feature known as "related video to your YouTube Shorts". Why is it that not all artist channels are equipped with this handy tool? Many channels, regardless of their size, utilize this feature to great effect. It's undeniable: shorts can boost the visibility of longer videos. But for some reason, it's MIA on artist channels. What's your take on this? Think YouTube will roll this out for everyone soon? ☺♥

Does the link only work with another long format video, or can a manufacturer provide a link to whatever product information page, maybe from their own website, so viewers can "get more information" or product sales page for that item?
