Over 5 years I practice intermittent fasting. 5 days a week and an eating window of 6 hours. 71 and daily excercise. Top fit and still active as an dive instructor. No jab no mask no distance and never been sick 👍

I had a “rare” autoimmune reaction to C vax that changed the trajectory of my entire life. After 12 months of hell, I got C. Writing my obituary one morn at 3am, I was desperate enough to try a 7 day fast. Fasting was the start of healing. It was so great to hear this topic today. I’m only 30% recovered, but figure fasting will be the only cure.

I practice IF (17:7) and eat a meat-based diet. When I got covid in January, it was about 48 hours of mild symptoms. I'm 65, unvaccinated.

I've been intermitting fasting for 5 years...and I do periods of fasting. I caught covid in early 2020 when I was 40 olbs overweight and not fasting at all. Covid shut down had me exercising and fasting again. I have not been sick since and im a hairdressor touching people all day long. ( unvaccinated but wearing mask, sanitize, etc). I still continue fasting :) I turn 50 this year .

Autophagy is great, but there is a host of different types of “phagy” going on after about 3 days. NASA scientist August Dunning wrote a book on fasting titled _The Phoenix Protocol_ with plenty of relevant citations. The new stem cells created also release exosomes which deliver repair instructions to existing cells.

During lockdown I began to think that fasting would be a great topic for a Dr. Been video for low cost method of healing at home.

My husband and I started exercising daily and doing intermittent fasting a month ago. 18 hours of fasting and eating within a 6 hour window as a way to loose weight. Now we’re finding out it has a lot of benefits over the weight loss. Amazing how God designed our bodies to rid itself of diseases. Thank you so much for the wonderful video Dr. Been.

Intermittent fasting since 2018, no sniffles, no flu, nothing, 16 hours daily, feel great, no need to panic and no need to jab. Great work Dr. :)

Fasting is how we are designed to eat. Food was scarce and intermittent pre ag.
Its utterly amazing how much it will improve your life.

Thanks for sharing! Dr. Fung is an expert in the field of fasting and it’s role in autophagy and self healing. I believe many chronic diseases are a result of being over fed.

I'm so glad to see this research, Dr. Been. When I got my injections in September 2021, I fasted for 12 hours before the injections and continued for a total of 72 hours. I did it precisely for the benefits of autophagy. I'm glad to see that I was right!!!

In 2020 i start intermittent fasting. Dropped 26 kg and more important all medication for neuropathy (a lot !!!)

It is interesting that most of the world's religions include fasting as important practices. When we rely on our faith to sustain us and deny our temporal hunger urges, we are actually sustained and healed by putting that faith into action. Thank you for explaining the science behind it so well as usual.

I’ve literally had one of my ALS patients regain his ability to walk again by having him on my nutritional ketogenic intermittent fasting- mimicking ALS Protocol!!
I’ve reversed most of my ALS Bulbar. I teach nutrition, and help people reverse diseases in my 2 groups.
