Tom Holland gave himself a deadline for how long he would still want to play Spider-Man after Spider-Man: No Way Home. While the third actor to play the wall-crawler in live-action, he's also the only one who will continue to portray the character beyond a third film. Spider-Man 4 is now in active development, effectively confirming Holland's future as the character. But, overall, fans may only have several more years before he retires the role.

Unlike his predecessors, Holland's Spider-Man debuted in an ensemble film instead of a solo outing, Marvel Studios decided to incorporate the current version of the hero into the MCU through Joe and Anthony Russo's 2016 Captain America: Civil War when he was recruited by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) for Team Iron Man. Peter then went on his first mission fighting Vulture (Michael Keaton) in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) in Spider-Man: Far From Home. In-between his standalone flicks, he joined the Avengers' battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

Awesome Fan-Made trailer. Which villain should Tom Holland face in the 4th Spider-Man film? In the end of No Way Home Tom Hardy's Venom seems to be in Garfield's universe. I think that Spider-Man should fight Jackal, Beetle, Puma, etc. Those villains would be my top choices for the next Spider-man. I don't know about Puma though.

Here are some ideas for Spider-Man 4:
1) Name: Spider-Man Home Alone
2) Start the movie with a backstory of Peter's life and Peter narrating it. How Peter's parents died, how did he get adopted by Uncle Ben and Aunt May, how his Uncle died and how did he got bitten by the spider that allowed him to get Spider powers
3) Movie begins few months has passed after the event of No Way Home it is Peter's birthday but celebrating alone as his aunt died and everyone who knew him doesn't remember because of Strange's Spell
4) He wishes that Mysterio didn't reveal the world his identity otherwise everything was perfect his aunt would still be alive and his friends like Ned, MJ and Happy ti hangout with. But he remembering Strange's words be careful what you wish for
5) Watching the news the news reporter Jasmon still says Spider-Man is the enemy despite he helps people many times
6) Peter is still suffering loneliness

I could imagin it going like this in the first half ned gains his memory but but is mad a peter for abandoning them so he becomes a villain peter fights him feeling crushed but after fighting him Ned relises
He was wrong but it was too late the symbiote latches on to peter as he feels angry guilty and felt like evrything was his fault for his aunt and evryone suffering ned gets up and feels guilty as he relises Peter was just trying to protect him before he can say sorry he hears peter screaming gripping on to his head as The black goo consumes him Ned begs him to reset but he can his suit changes and he becomes consumed by darkness and them moving into the next movie
