I have owned a ridiculous amount of phones over the past 10 years, but the Evo 3D (UK version) has always been one on my list of "retro phones I would consider buying again for nostalgic reasons" . I still have a folder of 3D images I took with it stored on Google Drive, for that day when I might own one again!

For its respective year/time, it has been my favorite phone to this day. None of my newer phones made me as exited for that time that my Sprint HTC 3D

I don't own it but I remember when I first saw it, it looks so cool and the 3D was just cherry on top. The design actually still looks cool, kinda like sports car morphed into phone design lol. Back then, 3D was envisioned as the future for everything from TV to phones. Not great but exciting nonetheless. Good ol days ...

I had the Sprint version of this phone. It ended up being pretty forgettable. Now, the HTC Evo 4g, that phone 🔥

In 2023, I still use it for my go to 3D photos and videos. Because of its small size and sturdy build I’m not scared to take it anywhere compared to my Fujifilm 3D w3, Panasonic 3D and Sony 3D cameras….. yes I’m 3D freak😜

A 840x480 screen 3D effect cuts the resolution in half so 420x480 per eye.
But modern smartphones can have 4K res screens so then that's still HD res per eye.

I really think that a 3D phone could work much better today than it ever did back then if it was focused on capturing content for VR playback as well.

Man, this was some crazy ass phone back in the day. I had gta 3 and some other cool games on it and girls asked to play with my phone back in 2012. Nostalgia, I had it till 2014 then bought iphone 4s.

I love this phone for its unique stereoscopic feature. I use it sometimes for capturing some personal moments in life. Stereoscopic actually adds another dimension to recorded reality and in my opinion it does much more than ultra HD resolution from modern cameras.

I literally switched carriers to Rogers to get this phone. It was my favourite HTC phone ever. I had it until I bricked it trying to root it 😂

I had one of these growing up, but whenever I try charging it, the red light turns off, and when i hold the power button, it won't turn on. I'm not sure if I have to replace the battery or if it's a different issue.

I had one back in the day and I still have all the 3d photos I took with it. Would be fun to buy one just to see my old photos again

The red version was actually available in the US, on the Sprint Virgin Mobile carrier. 👍
