This is a test video my wife shot using a Canon EOS 7D. I'm riding a 2009 Ducati Monster 696 fitted with Leo Vince GP Exhausts with the baffles (silencers) removed.

Congrats on a GREAT sound. I had a similar girl some years ago and I was trying to describe that "sound" of an air cooled Italian bike. Spent about an hour listening to videos and this one was the closest I could come to the memory I have of starting up my Italian mistress in my garage. WELL DONE

i'm only 18 and i definitely want to own a ducati like this with in 5 or so years. Do you recommend any other bike that could be a little bit more affordable for me to have first? I don't own a bike at all right now and im just looking for some advice..

I do recall some difficulty taking the baffles out when I first got them. I took a rubber mallet and lightly tapped the side of the muffler to loosen them. You could try putting the pipes on the bike to see if the heat expands and contracts anything in there. Maybe a little WD40?

Damn... why does this overpass look so familiar? Is that Staten Island by any chance? over the west shore expressway?

I really like this bike, how did you like it? Im considering going from my CBR F4i to this.

Nice one mate, sounds awesome, i love these pipes. Great vid quality too by the way. I haven't had the chance to pull my baffles out yet. Did you have any installation problems on the right hand side?? I had to shorten the connecting pipe to make the silencer line up properly.

@man408 I'd have to say they're really loud - almost to the point of embarrassing. I don't mind. :) They do come with the decibel killers, which are very easy to remove and reinstall. mort56x has a video of the killers installed, as I do in my videos.

@camarodue Very loud. They're not so intense at idle but they wail when you're WOT.

@mort56x Yes, I had a lot of problems with the right side. I ended up loosening the hangers and sort of "walked" the pipe into the right position, then tightened everything. The right exhaust is slightly higher for some reason.

@duce696 6 foot, 200lbs. The 696 looks small, right?

@Gm4n767 Look into a used SV650. Sort of the same engine, sort of the same riding position, but a decent used bike will cost you 2-3k.

How did you remove the baffles, did you take pliers and pull it out.. or did you take a rubber hammer and push it out letting it slide out the other end??

i already took the screw out from the bottom and i am having extreme dificulties.. i just got them shipped to my house yesterday and didnt even install them on the bike yet.. do i have to install it on the bike... let the bike heat up the pipes and then pull out the baffles easier???

I never noticed it from the pipes, though the engine did give off more heat than some of the other bikes (granted, they were liquid-cooled) I've owned.

@nikonxxx I wouldn't say ridiculous - I've heard louder, but these have a nasty bark when you get on the throttle.

The bike would definitely get a little sluggish in stop-and-go traffic, but I rode in NYC frequently in the summer.

Buying the Termignoni's, which come with an ECU and airfilter is saver, I would say.

@nikonxxx
yeah you just can ride it for 3 hours, after that the self destruction will be activated...
