I bought this Cheap Coyote Mustang GT at the local auction and after tearing it down we've decided we're going to build it into a budget Boss 302 Style Build. We're going to install the Interior upgrade I got on Marketplace for only $200!

Sam, to check slab depth get a 1/4" masonry bit and drill through the slab where you want to mount a lift. Use a coat hangar or other metal probe with a finger bent on the end to probe and find the bottom of the slab. Measure length.

😂OMG, Sam - I literally lol'ed when you said "I know it's a little bit like shoving socks in your underwear, but - that still looks pretty cool, too"

You’re making the right upgrades in the right places, I’d recommend the rear control arms they really help to get rid of the skittish rear and feel these cars are known for, remember to check the pinion angle since this car is lowered. It may seem like an extra expense but trust me you’ll love the way it handles with a rear axle that’s not jumping all over the place. You may just want to keep this car when you’re done…

Grabber Blue to match the seat stitching... and black hockey stripes of course..

You should make it a Leguna Seca Editon that is all black with red boss 302 vinyl.

Since you're painting it anyway, you can always paint it Grabber Blue to match up with the seat stitching (if you care that much about it).

Just get a 4post lift. Don't have to bolt down and can be moved. Bendpack has it

There's more to a BOSS 302 engine than an intake. Still, it looks cool.

The most important part to improving the S197 Mustang's suspension is front lower control arms with improved ball-joints. Make sure you rock some of those.

Sam, the idea you are working on a Mustang in a horse barn is fantastic.

The lift is the most exciting addition to the channel. Honestly tired of watching clips at awkward angles. Thanks to BendPak and all the subscribers for getting this prioritised. M539 has portable lifts. You can definitely get it done Sam 👍🏽

Those bits you used to remove the stripped bolt are bur bits. They're used in a foundry setting where iron molds are poured for example. In the finishing process at a foundry, those bits are used to grind off metal burs on the casting before they're shipped off to a tooling machine shop. An example of what iron foundries produce are electric motor casings, engine parts for our vehicle manufacturers. However, grinding metal burs off in the foundry finishing process makes it easier for the machine shops tools to machine that part down to the specs required by the manufacturer of that particular product. Then those parts are applied to your car, motors, air conditioning units etc.

Be careful using the edge of a slab as an indicator of how thick it is in the middle. Very often the perimeter is a footer and is significantly thicker than the interior.

BendPak makes great lifts. Don’t sleep on Wildfire Lifts though. Wildfire makes a great non-anchored lift you can move around. VGG and Mustie1 both use them. It’s time. Whatever brand you choose, get yourself the lift.

By the way, you can get rid of the blue stitching with a black sharpie...once dry it won't ever come off on your

You should get a 4 point lift. It would be handy for most works. And use jacks for suspension work. Or build outside an inspection hole. Since the horse stalls aren't be using, you could remove some of them for parking storage.

Where's the rest of the build? Seems like an easy enough and cheap enough build you could finish it easily.

Sam I feel like you have been knocking it out of the park lately. This mustang series has been outstanding. The quality of the video, your explanations, and yes even the jokes have been top notch. Thank you!

Really enjoying this build, and I'm not a Ford fan. It's the spirit of the build. You have a lot of "cool" for very good prices, that you've added and good fun doing it.😎✌️
