Christine worked all day taking care of the children and homeschooling AND worked a night shift. No one ever discussed that until recently. Christine absolutely financially helped support this family. Mind you NO ONE took care of her kids while she was at work at night. Robyn never did anything. Robyn is so selfish!!! Her words mean nothing when her actions are polar opposite!

I knew immediately what the look on Jenelle’s face meant when Robyn announced to the family that she was pregnant. And it was, “I told Kody we couldn’t afford to feed 4 more mouths when he and Robyn were courting, and now, we are in Vegas, none of us are working, and they are adding another one?!” Poor Janelle, it seemed like she was the only one who had the stress of the family finances on her plate.

Living above their means is the issue. Janelle tried to be frugal but they didn't want to listen. All of those women should have purchased a modest home and kept a job that allows them to at least cover their own utilities, groceries, and insurance independently. It seems like they have been so disorganized since day one and since no-one wants to confront the favorite, nothing changes.

Please comment on how Meri had the same budget for her 1 child that Christine and Janelle had for their 6 kids each. How odd for the “family” that Meri’s 1 child had better clothes and piano lessons while the other 12 kids did not.

She never got to be touchy and romantic because according to the book (and some episode) Meri was all over him when Janelle came into the family. No doubt Meri was just asserting her position in the family and hierarchy

Kody has always seen Janelle as a buddy. I don’t think he necessarily views her as a physical wife, if that makes sense. Janelle is someone to hang out with and help bring money into the family. Kody, I don’t believe, ever really romanized over Janelle.

Imagine too she entered the family with 30k credit card debt, and her ex husband Preston borrowed 30k from their community to pay it off that Robyn just pocketed and then saddled the Browns with paying off her debt…at the same time they were living in abject poverty, subsisting off burnt discarded bread from their family members bakery ‼️

$32, 000, SPLIT between her and her ex Preston so it was technically $64, 000, ran up under her THREE different last names(Robyn Sullivan, Robyn Jessop, Robyn Sullivan-Jessup I believe) which is clearly fraud. She ran up over $1000 at VS, thousands of dollars ran up at places like Target and JC Penny, pointing to it not being Preston's debt. If it was racked up by "taking care" of her kids, like she claims, it wouldn't have been ran up at clothing stores, it would have been to utility companies, grocery stores, things like that. Preston owned his own business and did heating, cooling and ventilation which can be a fairly high paying occupation so you have to wonder why BOTH Robyn's husbands have had money problems, she's the common denominator. Preston has leukemia and is still working everyday to take care of his wife and kids, imo that says something about his character. Meri worked for a non-profit so that's why she didn't make much. When Meri filed bankruptcy in about 2005-2008 (I think) with Meri and Kody's combined income they made about $4, 200 per month, gross. The show completely HID Christine's college degree (for media) and she was working at night, she was doing speaking engagements for the AUB, Christine is the one who got them the show and she was homeschooling the kids too. I think Kody wanted this hidden so it would look like he was providing for his family, even though he wasn't. It's so sad that Christine made herself look like some "non-working mom" just to appease Kody's ego, that she went along with it, while in reality she worked her ass off for the ENTIRE family. Robyn couldn't even take care of her own kids by herself, notice how the "childcare" she provided and "help for Christine" stopped REAL quick. Robyn used Preston's teenaged nieces to help raise her kids before she left him, then used the older Brown daughter's, then brought in Mindy, the nanny. We also KNOW that Robyn collected food stamps until 2014! Yes, Christine collected food stamps too but she stopped after the show took off. Robyn collecting food stamps for years after the show took off would definitely be fraud. The welfare cutoff for NV for a family of 5 is $2, 100 gross, monthly income, meaning if you make $2101 you're over the income cut off and can't collect wefare. She was also legally obligated to add Kody to her welfare case because they lived together, even though they weren't married, you have to include the income of bf's who support you and live with you. I spent my first 2 years of college studying social work before I switched majors. So the food she wouldn't let anyone eat, the state paid for. While she was living in a freakin Mcmansion with a TV show, the taxpayers of NV were feeding her kids 😡. I also saw where someone ran a background check on Robyn and she never filed taxes by herself, meaning she didn't have a job, like EVER, she wasn't employed since at least like 2000 the reporter said. And she has the audacity to say "I'm used to paying my own bills" YEAH, with your husband's money! I cannot stand the lies Ko-Ro tells (🤢). I've been studying the family for years, focusing on Robyn for the last year and collecting information. I'm actually writing a biography on Robyn, it's quite shocking the things I've uncovered. I'm so glad Christine and Meri got out, I really, really hope Janelle doesn't go back to him. Thank you for another great analysis!

21:22 Yeah this is where she loses me. Because if you are not working and deciding to be a full-time homemaker, great. Lots of moms do that. But the fact she’s not working and engages in the very costly practice of employing professionals for childcare… are you kidding?!

I totally agree with your assumption that Janelle was lied to when Robyn joined the family. She definitely would not agree with a non-working young wife with kids who would have more children to join them. She managed the finances, and Kody always made terrible financial choices (I suppose that was the root cause why the family always ran into financial problems before the show. According to Mykelti the children grown up sometimes on plain bread and could not get nutritious food, even in hunger. But in the meantime they moved way too often, like 10+ times in total). K and R must have lied a hell lot to Janelle to get her onboard. Well narcissists change their narratives and fake things all the time. Nothing surprised to me.
