Wonderful, he was one of the songwriters of the song on an album released by Ronnie Specter in 1987.

It must a great thing when you know you are one of the most legendary song writers especially at that time in things like Glam Metal and general, you are raking it in, you can just have fucking fun plugging your record and performing and it don't matter if you don't make a penny there because you wrote I Was Made For Loving You, Livin' On A Prayer, Dude Looks Like A Lady and many other bad ass tunes! Best job in the world by all accounts and its the best because he has the talent too!

We use to talk forever on a dime
Now we live together, never find the time
We use to walk as lovers on the sand
Now we're workin' full-time on our lifetime plan

We never stop to see the moon at night
We're just too busy leadin' complicated lives

Whoa, whoa, whoa
I remember love on a rooftop
Couldn't make the love stop
We were givin' all that we got
Whoa, whoa, whoa
I remember holdin' you so tight
Ooh, when kissin' lasted all night
Whoa, whoa, love on a rooftop
Whoa, whoa, whoa

Look at us now, we're all grown up
We got it all together, got it all sewn up
But is this all it all was leadin' to? (All was leadin' to)
Do we just run out of dreams when all our dreams come true?

Whatever happened to those endless nights
When we were happy livin' young and foolish lives?

Whoa, whoa, whoa
I remember love on a rooftop
Couldn't make the love stop
We were givin' all that we got
Whoa, whoa, whoa
I remember holdin' you so tight
Ooh, when kissin' lasted all night
Whoa, whoa, love on a rooftop
Whoa, whoa, whoa

Whoa, oh, oh, whoa
We never stop to see the moon at night
(Whoa, oh, oh, oh-oh)
We're just too busy leadin' complicated lives

Whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, whoa
I remember love on a rooftop
Couldn't make the love stop
We were givin' all that we got
Whoa, whoa, whoa
I remember holdin' you so tight
Ooh, when kissin' lasted all night
Whoa, whoa, love on a rooftop
Whoa, whoa, whoa

(I remember love on a rooftop)
I remember, I remember us, darlin'
(Couldn't make the love stop)
We couldn't make the love stop
(We were givin' all that we got)
We were givin' it all, givin' it all we got

Just came here after reading his Wikipedia article. I know that he had co-written this with Diane Warren, which makes perfect sense as they were very similar songwriters. I'm surprised they didn't give the song to Michael Bolton, but I think it sounds better with Desmond Child himself singing it, than it would have with Bolton's typically overwrought, melodramatic vocals.

Damn good song. Shame it was so unappreciated. Thanks to the Beyond Yacht Rock guys. I was about 12-13 when this came out and totally forgot about it!
