When Covid set in and we weren't aloud to fly anywhere, I use to get in my car and drive up the coast just to get out of the city, with RY X playing loud I'd just get lost for days up the coast. I stopped at a roadhouse & this girl asked me if I was going in the same direction. I said yeah, she hopped in the car and RY X was playing this concert, she turned it up louder and we just drove in silence, smiling the whole way. Needless to say it was the song Berlin that broke the ice with me and this girl and we then spent 4 nights together. I was dealing with a shitty break up and this girl was just a free spirit. In those 4 nights we played everything from Michael Kiwandi, Dermott Kennedy, Xavier Rudd, Ben Howard, Jack Savoretti, The Teskey Brothers just to name a few. We laughed and danced on beaches and sat up talking till dawn. On the fourth day she was gone and just left a note saying,
"I'm glad your ex let you go." I never did get her last name, but also, I never thought of my ex ever again either.

My son, Eric Price, has been performing, writing, and collaborating with Ry since 2014 and this is probably still his most favorite show. Of course, the show at the Royal Albert Hall last October is a close second :-). Ry is a gifted singer-songwriter and I hope as we return to "normal" post COVID-19, there will more shows like this one to come! They are incredible to experience in person, especially accompanied by orchestral musicians!
