Build Your Own REST API With OpenAPI/Swagger!
Показать описание
This is a talk that Thai Tran gave to the Melb.Net Meetup Group in July, 2021. Here, he shows us how to implement a simple REST API using the ASP.NET Core framework and the Swagger/OpenAPI documentation tools.
RESTful is common term that refers to an architectural style that enables a lightweight data transfer mechanism for web services and client apps. When building your RESTful services, it is crucial to select the right tools as we need to consider the relevant aspects such as scalability, maintainability, security and documentation. ASP.NET Core is a great framework that gives us a powerful and easy to use API to achieve these goals.
Thai is a solutions architect and team lead and currently works for the digital agency Luminary. His particular areas of specialisation include technical writing, CMS training, and third party systems integration. He is also a certified developer for Kentico, Sitecore and Optimizely (formerly EPIServer). He has used .NET to solve problems for many clients in the last ten years.
