Educating & Empowering - T1D Camp For Children

Education is an essential tool for managing Type 1 Diabetes, but an often overlooked aspect of any child or person living with a medical condition such as T1D is the mental and emotional toll it can take. A diagnosis like T1D can be confusing especially in children, but by facilitating a T1D Camp for Children we can increase and improve existing T1D control, knowledge, skills, and positive coping to help both children, and their parents, gain independence in knowing that they can be well, happy and apart from each other for a few days while in the fun environment of their fellow peers, young leaders, nutritionists, and healthcare professionals.
