Maths first half of the paper was fairly easy but the other half ☠️ horror

exams were all good UNTIL MATHS PAPER 1 WTF WAS THAT (edexcel maths)
maybe its just cos maths is the only one we dont do aqa for

Just had my chemistry tutor session and watching this now! Hoping the chem exam goes just as well as the previous ones 🤞
I've had RS, biology, english lit (all AQA), latin and history (edexcel) - and honestly these exam boards must be in a great mood cos i've spent hours revising every single topic in detail only for the easiest topics to come up 😅

RE the 6 mark practical questions, a helpful tip is the MEDICAL method
M - what you MEASURE
E - what EQUIPMENT you use
D - dependent variable
I - independent variable
C - control variable
A - ANALYSE risk (eg do you need to wear goggles)
L - LINK for better results (eg draw graph, repeat experiment)

I am always awful at remembering the practicals, but if you can remember this, it really helps to get higher marks on these types of questions!

and that's yes I agree so much with the fact that so many of us overthink exams and that it does really come together once you're sat there

just finished 3 half-length practice papers before watching this video, 85%, 88% and 91% consecutively, which although are great, definitely used to be better (averaging 94%s in most exams for chemistry). usually someone who gets a 9 in chemistry but i DEFINITELY need to get back to the habit of answering more chem questions and regaining lost info such as the reactivity series. will work more on that after maths tomorrow, and i coincidentally also study exactly how you suggest, by looking at the ranges of questions that can show up and to apply my core knowledge on each. paper 1 for math higher was so incredibly confusing today, im really worried i dropped a significant amout of marks. my predicted is a 7 but i really wanted to push for 8. don't think its going to be possible anymore, after that paper

Tbf what scares me about exams is that I have NO idea what’s gonna show up this time. Like for mocks it was just past papers and occasionally teachers would drop hints on what year paper it was, what’ll show up etc… this time I got no hints, no heads up. Could be anything.
Like I’m not stressed but when I’m sitting in the exam hall before I’m like ‘crap, what’s gonna show up, what if it’s something I don’t know?’
Anyway… 12:30am and I’m done for the day. Gonna have to wing it

But the rest was so hard, and the first 17 is for a grade 7 so I mean, yh im finished
