This is the song that makes me never give up on my test

The first verse is about encouraging a child,

The second verse is about a young person going out for adventure (hence it talks about the view in neighbour town)

The 3rd verse talks about the young person after he became an adult, and looking back on his childhood adventures. (hence "before I knew it, you became an adult" and "I left it in the pocket of the worn out pants, the adventure that fits in my hand" i.e the gameboys)


Not only does this song describe the pokemon trainer in the anime or game, it describes the journey of a pokemon fan from young to old, from playful adventure to nostalgia. This entire season provokes an intense nostalgic feeling for adult pokemon fans who cherish their childhood. Both the song and the journeys season of the show are masterpiece. My goosebumps and tears won't stop.

But the 3rd verse still encourages me, it says your adventure isn't over, stop hesitating and jump in at 1-2-3! There's still adventures to be had.

this song really makes it dawn on me that ash is leaving. it just sounds like hes saying goodbye. the lyrics kind of rub that feeling. the part that say "youve become an adult" just made me think of ash and how his adventure is finally over
