Celtic have lost so many semi-finals and finals at Hampden, to teams outside the Old Firm, in the last 15 years, that I have no memory of this one. I think I remember them losing to Hearts, Inverness, Kilmarnock and Ross County, and there are probably more, but even after watching this one, I don’t remember this match!

This is why Lennon has so many critics. Time and time again, Celtic would lose these cups games, and he would come up with the same nonsense in the post-match interviews. Not enough hunger, consistency, organization etc. He can hang on to the 2-1 win over Barcelona, but Celtic suffered so many humiliating defeats in both of his spells in the dugout.

One of the best days out at Hampden. The whole Saints team were magic that day. Isma Gonçalves scoring on his debut in the first ten minutes, Craig Samson's penalty save, Gowser sticking his away then big Thommo thumping in what turned out to be the winner sending us apesh*t. And John McGinn was just 18 but was superb.

As an Edinburgh neutral, it was a great game !
Why are old firm supporters so miserable when they lose fairly ?
Having said that, I've seen some generous comments recently from Glasgow Rangers fans re St Johnstone's win in the recent league cup.
As the proposed recent ESL attempted coup has shown, football is all about Expectation, Hope, Chance, Luck, Injustice and Justice, Heroes, Villains, Bias and Sentiment and Equality.
Take all these values away and we are left with a proposed European football league cartel guided by money and driven by whatever culture wars they decided makes money for owners at the time.
It could be race, class, gender no matter - as long as it generates money, fantastic for the (largely absentee) owners.
And we should resist it as we can.
