'I forgive you'

The scribes and the Pharisees bring to Jesus a woman caught up in adultery.
Jesus's work on earth was not to punish the sinner, but to offer forgiveness to everyone who repents.

"Moses commanded us to stone such people, what do you say?" the Pharisees asked Jesus to test Him. Jesus doesn't see only the sinful acts of people, but also the hearts from which sins come out.
"Let the sinless among you throw the first stone! " He replied to them.

What was in Jesus's mind? What was in His heart? Jesus was and is full of love for us humans and full of hatred for their sins! Out of humility and love, He took the form of a slave to save us and cleanse us from our sins. Being totally obedient to the Father, He is now exalted above all. Jesus took all the condemnation on Himself on the cross. "I do not condemn you, go and sin no more!" He said to the woman.

Let us now have the same merciful attitude towards others.
