'Just Build It' ...but what if I don't know how?

Just build it. These three words can heavily motivate someone to get started on something. But other times it begs the question, “what if I don’t know how to build it? What if I don’t know where to start?” There's a "secret" to it, but you won't like the answer. Just know that you don't need to know everything about a programming language, or hardly even anything about coding and software development, to get started.

I definitely struggled a lot with tutorial hell at my early programming days. But I'm glad I was able to push through it by building a project by myself in which I wasn't spoon-fed all the code and logic. Sure I still watch tutorials, but I don't binge watch them. I just watch them to learn the tools, not the skill

I started my programming career a few months ago and I'm really struggling to escape the tutorial hell...I sometimes spend an entire day watching tutorials...sometimes I feel like giving up but I hope one day I'll be able to escape. I love programming and I really want to make a good career out of Thanks for making this video

You feel so much better when you know that the thing you built is actually yours and not from someone else. Who cares if it’s not as good. It’s yours. You’re just starting out. Yeah, your first projects are gonna suck probably, but that’s how you learn to get better. Continue to build things on your own and seek help when you get stuck.

The topics you cover are in a different level. I get so motivated when I see your videos becouse you talk starting from the experience and empathically. Showing a lot of people on what we've been failing accross this long proccess of programming. Keep it up!

"You're not gonna learn everything before you even start"., Truest thing i've heard.

Great video! I think there is no more beautiful feeling in terms of programming than when you struggle trying to do something that you didn't do before and at some point it works and you understand why

been working on the same project for 9 months now. started as a texture converter, now it converts multiple file types, has a GUI, a file browser and mod file build utilities and I still have a long way to go.

Im new and I might start a job next week. The way I've done it is I watch tutorials to see how it worked then try to build it next time. I use the tutorial code as reference but I expand it.

Thank you. I was stuck in tutorial hell most of last year and gave up. However my desire to be a software dev never went away. I thought i would have to go through tutorial hell again and get stuck in javascript.

The way you present these videos is kind of amazing. Coding aside, you have a great way of presenting the information you are trying to put out. I love watching these videos for the high quality of the production as well as the high quality of the content. It's also great to see a developer content created that isn't just trying to say everything is easy and straight forward and you'll be rolling in money and working 2 hours a day between meals, naps, and social events. I'm glad you're actually helping people understand the field they are trying to get in to. Thanks for the videos!

This is solid advice, and I think unknowingly learning this is what helped give me a boost in my coding skill.
