Three members of Sara Sharif’s family have been found guilty over the 10-year-old’s death after years of horrific abuse.

Her father Urfan Sharif, 42, and stepmother Beinash Batool, 30, were found guilty of her murder and her uncle, Faisal Malik, 29, was convicted of causing or allowing her death after a jury at the Old Bailey deliberated for nine hours and 46 minutes.

Richard Garside from the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies joins Talk’s Ian Collins to discuss this further.

They have money for non-crime hate incidents but not for gross abuse and murder of children?

Words cannot describe the evil done to this beautiful child. No punishment is too much for these monsters

why doesn't anyone talk about the judge who ordered this child to live with his father and abusive stepmother instead of the child's mother? this judge should never rule on children's matters!

As a Pakistani parent, I am feeling so sad to see these wicked individuals cutting short the live of this little angel and hope that these individuals rot in prison without any parole

The picture of this angelic looking child in what appears to be an olive green dress brings tears to my eyes. Political correctness and the protection of the father's minority group led many people in Britain to gaze away at this girl's abuse whilst she was alive. Why did the Polish born mother leave her daughter with such a vile monster? Why did she or other relatives not visit and discover this girls extensive and horrible unimaginable abuse? I have Muslim heritage, though we're now converted to Christianity, and many in this community treat girls appallingly. Sadly the Tory and Labour government, the BBC, Guardian, Channel Four etc protect the widespread and vile behaviour by far too many of these men towards girls and women and from public scrutiny by calling people who question the Pakistani community and muslims behaviour as far right. I am a brown guy... am I far right too?

Would be good if they can be sentenced in Pakistan. Justice would be properly served then for Sara

Do we know what vexed the father to repeatedly abuse his daughter, perhaps in the guise of discipline?

Beating anyone is abuse and its too long with kids embarrassed to seek help from anyone. Parents are responsible to get help to prevent abuse to kids.

Look what happened at Birmingham when the authorities intervened and took children from there homes, have they forgotten that ?

This was completely preventable. Another teason why children should not be masked nor wear any hair coverings.

What about the rest of their kids who were left in Pakistan in children home? Sara's brother is among them.

There won’t be a little girl in prison for him to beat up

As a father myself, my heart is broken by the unimaginable physical abuse Sara was subjected to by her own biological father and by step mother. A biological father was meant to be her protector but in fact his relentless beating and abuse of Sara, is clear indication that he is an evil individual along with step mother. I wonder where Sara's biological mother was while she was subjected to such horrific abuse which led to her death. I hope both father and step mother rot in prison for life. May her soul RIP.
