A Brief Look at Gateway Cloning

Показать описание
The site-specific recombination system used by phage l to integrate its DNA into E. coli is the basis of Gateway cloning.
This video provides you with an overview of Gateway cloning, including:
- What is the recombination system used by phage l
- How does Gateway cloning work?
- Pros and cons of Gateway Cloning
INSTRUCTOR: JULIA GEORGE-RAIZEN
Julia George-Raizen received from the University of Michigan in 1991 in what would now be called Molecular Immunology. She has done post-doctoral work and later research using mice, cell lines, yeast, and C. elegans.
Julia has a front-row seat to the development and evolution of all current molecular biology techniques, from PCR to CRISPR, and taught at several universities in the Philadelphia area, including St. Joseph's University and Bryn Mawr College. She now works as a consultant in science communication and education.
