The Face of God (Bukas Palad)

This liturgical mass chant for Advent was written & composed by Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ. It is appropriately sung as a Communion chant during the season of preparation and waiting, most recommended if done by a SATB choir, in order to enhance the four voices of the song. The Season of Advent is a period of longing and expectation for the Lord, who comes in (1) history through the celebration of his Nativity during Christmas, (2) his final glory at the end of the age, and (3) his everyday manifestation through his Word and signs. May our prayer in this holy season be a joyful anticipation of our Lord coming to our lives.
