He really hates getting his nails trimmed, but he's too much of a proper English gentleman to say so! ❤️

I had an English Springer; he was incredibly smart and attentive to us, and would barely leave our side. He taught our kids to crawl and walk, to share and be gentle, I'm surprised he didn't detail our car. He lived to be 16! It's been almost 20 years and we still miss him and talk about him.

Can't believe, that this good boy is already 9! Looks like a one-year-old puppy

In the early 2000s, my dad was coming home from an overnight shift at the port, and he saw a dog just like Griffin looking confused and scared on the road. He picked her up and brought her home, and we spent a long time washing the icicles from her fur and trying to keep her warm. She was terrified of any loud noises. If anyone raised their voice, she ran to my brother's room, stuck her head under his bed, and put her paws over her ears.

We didn't have Google back then, but we asked around and found out that she was an English Springer Spaniel. Certainly someone would be looking for her! We called our local vet and put up posters, but nobody came. That was fine by us, because she was slowly coming out of her shell.

We moved from the city to 80 acres of wild property. This girl blossomed. She was so happy, her little nubby tail never stopped wagging, so we called her Wags. She was the happiest girl, who loved being able to dig holes wherever she wanted and run all over God's creation. Wags brought us so much joy for many years before passing away around 2015.

Seeing Griffin brings back so many wonderful memories. His family is so blessed to have him.

He looked so pitiful when his nails were being clipped. Gryphon is too cute.

Griffin's a good boy. He has such a handsome profile, especially after his grooming session. Such a sweet face, too.

have friends with one of those. At a church function, he brought "his hunting dog" and told folks she wasn't all that friendly. Next thing I know there is a Springer Spaniel in my lap, and when she jumped down, it was straight to some kids where she played the rest of the day... His wife later told me that dog has been useless for hunting ever since. Pet now...perfect... ;-) Good Dog...

He has the most soulful eyes. You can tell he really doesn't want to be there, but he's also smart enough to know that he'll feel better afterwards so he'll put up with it.

We had a springer growing up and she was the sweetest dog. She would smile whenever people came over. The only downside is she we get burs and poplar seeds stuck in her coat, which wasn't fun to deal with

English springer spaniels don't calm down until the day they pass on. Our Springer was named Bobo, got him in highschool when I was 15. He waited for me to get off the bus every day after school. He was there for my wedding/first house/first son. He was the furry brother I never had. Bobo lived a long happy life for 16 years. I'll never forget him.

Dear girl with dogs. You made me learn lot about them and how to handle them. I'm scared of dogs but I'm overcoming it.. Lots of love from India. ♥️♥️♥️

Griffin is gorgeous. I lost my spanna 18 months ago, and I can confirm that they are a truly lovely breed. I can also confirm that they believe clean water is toxic, while their obsession with muddy puddles that have goodness only knows what in them is second only to the promise of a tennis ball. They would run until their legs fell off, and still try after that.
They are also oddly dirt proof. They could come in from a walk, filth from nose to tail, throw themselves to the ground (SO dramatic) and fall asleep. Half an hour later, a spotless spanna would stand up, leaving a dog-shaped dirt pile behind.
I miss you Jakey Jake. Bonkers and completely fearless like all the best spannas are, and such a good, good boy.

This is the most hippy-ish looking dog I’ve even seen. What a good boy.

Springers really are wonderful dogs, our family has had a couple of them. Our old boy was the sweetest dog I've ever met, hands down. He wouldn't jump up on you, he almost never barked, when you came home he would politely wait for you to untie your shoes and then he would be so happy when you pet him. He would never run off, he was never aggressive. Always loved to cuddle.

Oh how could you not fall in love with those eyes. My heart just dropped when he was looking straight into the camera. Such a gentleman. My mama has always wanted a cocker spaniel.

What a beautiful boy!! That look when you are clipping his nails, "I hope I get some treats for all this fuss". 🐶🐶🐶🐶

Damn Gryphon is well behaved and polite, he was so not having a good time, but being a good boy took precedent over complaining . Husky’s need to start taking notes

Thank you for finally doing a Springer! ♥️ This breed has my heart. I had one as a childhood partner in crime. We have 2 now (14yr old and 4yr old) and wouldn't change it for the world! Best dogs ever! ♥️
