Stop selling and re-buying core positions. Timing the market almost never works and you're just going to make yourself pay taxes and fees for something that is unlikely to work in the long run. Feels like lately you're getting easily rattled by the markets and acting more recklessly with your portfolio as a result. Just buy and hold the best companies in the world for a long time, ignore short term noise and you'll be set.

Going QQQ/VYM sounds better every day. I've been getting killed on these individual stocks that seem like no brainers - at least in the short term - (FB, GOOGL, etc.)

I'm kind of boring - but my core holding is CM - Purchased Dec - 2020 @ $109 per share - but the income is 2nd to none ! / plus I also benefit from the Canadian dividend tax credit - and my buy in yield is 5.30% - so - I can live with that forever !

Monetary conditions are simply not favourable for growth names, there's going to be further downside here for certain. Load up on dividend names that you would happy to continue buying 40% lower if we do get down there.

Maybe shareholders are tired of companies that don’t pay a dividend. Share buybacks are useless when a company is buying itself at overpriced valuations.

Great vid, touching on some important points. I myself/not a huge fan of ETF's that being said one I'm a fan of is SPHD, ye i know not so popular, the other guy SCHD way more popular, and the V guys... that being said one BIG deal with the SPHD is the monthly pay out- why? because MATH, sooner you get those funds the sooner they get turned around doing something else, not the only reason to own a stock, but the few out there are, *bonus* time/filling out the slow/(bad months) for payouts which every porfolio has. Your portfolio is overly diversified. You can't outperform the market with an overly diversified portfolio. My stock portfolio is currently up more than 50% for the past year. I have a highly concentrated portfolio, where I focus my money on my most high conviction stocks.

Buy some EIT.un. and some HYLD.to. Pick up covered call ETF’s as they pay high dividends when the vix is high like it is.
