Scientists believe Hawaii's Kilauea volcano will erupt again

For months, lava exploded and devoured miles of Hawaii's Big Island. A year later, scientists believe it could erupt again in the future. Carter Evans reports.

Kīlauea, Halemaumau, Pu’u o’o has been erupting for most of my life..I’m 50. I’m more surprised that it has paused for such a long period.

A lot of people who lost their house moved to hpp but many stayed and bought the homes that were available. Every place has a island/ benefit. We bought land here 5 blocks up above fissure 8. We love it here. It is not an easy place to live, but it is right for us.

I went there on a big island trip for my class and you could clearly tell that from Oahu to The big island the sky was FILLED with debris, even on the other side of the island
