Lighthouse​ at UWC Atlantic - ​Conference on the Future of Europe

​"​How can we u​se​ ​d​igital ​e​ducation for the ​u​nderprivileged?​"​

In this cross-collaborative event hosted by AILEM - a UWC Atlantic Lighthouse student project - students explored the various and pressing educational challenges for the underprivileged through referral of The Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027).

The hybrid event consisted of featured presentations from NGOs and projects that aim to provide digital education for underprivileged groups as well as a design thinking session in the afternoon (not part of the recording).

The keynote presentation was given by Dr Michael Gallagher from the University of Edinburgh, who outlined key challenges in digital education. The keynote was followed by a series of short presentations of NGOs in collaboration with ALL DIGITAL and AILEM.
