And they are implied to be around the size of a grain of rice. I think it speaks volumes as to why they didn't have direct contact with humans. Not that fighting them directly would have had a different outcome. But it does make sense why they could dehydrate themselves to hibernate if they are very small.

Their 3, 5m droplet probe destroys an entire human space fleet is the most badass massacre scene in sci-fi

The cannibalism is not inherent. They just had a very tough chaotic era. Humans too cannibalise when the conditions are extreme.

Fun Fact: Immanuel Kant explores the idea of "creatures of other Planets" that lack skill of deception in his Anthropology in Pragamtic Terms. (see Kant Immanuel [1798]: Anthropologie in pragmatischer Hinsicht. Vorländer, Karl (ed.) (Die Philosophische Bibliothek, vol. 44). Leipzig 1912 (5th edition), page 289).
"It might be that on some other planet there exist thinking (vernünftige) creatures [...] not able to have a thought without saying it out loud."

The thing I never understood is why they didn't just terraform another planet or live in space habitats? Considering where they evolved they've gotta have a decent range of habitable climates they can live in.

failed to mention most important fact that trisolarians are size of rice grains and thats why they are able to dehydrate

U r correct. The San-Ti are truly fascinating. I think its amazing that they could be as small as ants. No wonder they dont show themselves to anyone but Tian Ming in the entire Universe. and also the reason they believe coexistence with humanity is impossible. Imagine an intelligent species the size of

Regardless of their extended past due to resets, selective pressure had clearly caused them to accelerate advancement to levels already beyond humans by time first contact was made. Also any non-fantasy capacity for interstellar travel, especially of an entire race, does kinda break the confines of needing natural biospheres anymore nor having to worry about future resets.

If they were that desperate, they could have more easily come here unannounced, created a subterranean/oceanic colony or simply taken up one of our numerous uninhabited islands and lived peacefully underneath our noses for a very eternity. Literally could have gone on to move with us when we reached our own space-age, moving their population outward as we colonized space and quietly assisting us and also avoiding detection through their subtle interface with our technologies.

Millions of years could have passed and hundreds of star systems later, and we still may not have known that they were there too, the entire time.😂

In the show if they can't lie and they are all linked as one with thoughts and what not. How does the first broadcast that the pacifist saw go under the radar of the rest of the aliens?

Three suns, did in fact, not orbit their planet, neither is it like ours. We're talking about a hyper advanced civilization of entities the size of rice grains

I've raed the trilogy, every civilization no matter how advanced, is hiding from something even more terrifying. The Returners who supposed to be the top tier, who can create universes and manipulate dimensions, yet even they retreat into pocket universes, fleeing from something.. The books strongly imply that they, too, fear something beyond...

It feels weird how they're so advanced if the 3 stars are already there before them... Unless it was their doing that made 3 stars closer, like it used to be two or even one (or under any solvable predicted orbit line), but then they did some scientific stuff which led them to their doom. Because, it's impossible for them to be so advanced if they don't get a stable start exactly when they started being sentient (during their time of ancient civilizations).
