Min Jin Lee’s other book is called’Free food for millionaires’ about Korean-Americans and their immigrant parents on how they view race, class, money, marriage. Also a great book 😊

kite runner was assigned reading for me in 10th grade lol. this was 10 years ago too.

Talking about books, i've fell in and out of love with reading several times alone last year (2024). I am now still stuck trying to read Kim Ji Yeong born 1982 by Cho Nam Joo. I'm not sure if you've read this book or not. Three years ago was my most active reading phase, where i read almost 10 or so books, mostly the popular ones like The Hunger Games, Maze Runners, and The Fire Sermon trilogy. This year i have a bucket list of reading more books but i don't know where to start, so this booktalk means a lot! Also, i recommend you read Into The Magic Shop by James R. Doty (if you haven't). I read this book back in 2017 and the story still stuck in my mind & heart now. It's genuinely an interesting book with interesting story. :)) Lastly, would love to see your movies / series recommendations <3 xx
