Dig the vibes from the 1975 album also released as a single. The alto saxophone solo is by the aptly named, and legendary, Jim Horn. Leon plays the vibes and RMI Electra Piano. Steve Cropper and Bobby Manuel feature on guitars with Al Jackson on drums.

i cant get enough of the bass track or that great git track thats a sound we dont hear at all anymore too bad bc its very emotional and effective i can listen to this over and over and over again..ok, maybe i'm sick or? maybe i just have taste in a world that no longer can produce music with taste..i needed to be born approx 20 years before i was..i was born or hatched in 1964..so i can very clearly recall this stuff on the radio we all took it for granted back then but those of us who somehow kept our taste intact its hard to remain here without music of this caliber coming out so all we CAN do is to look back..unless someone else has a better way of getting this musical "fix" but as for myself? ive only been able to look back thus far..i am a musician but have left the biz due to many factors but the main one is simple, music has passed away and we never even gave it a proper funeral..how sad is THAT? the second reason as if anyone cared is i no longer can find the people of the same caliber as myself to creat and play music, see, w me music was an art and unless it was played at 100% of ones ability it just sounds or sounded kinda lifeless lousy, and the new breed cats just dont swing anymore so i was left with a decision, struggle on? or get out..i decided it was no longer worth struggling with bad musicians and worse audiences (lol "audiences" the few drunks who couldn't care less, ( is what i SHOULD have said)

color me one of the last of a quickly dying breed..which kinda left me alone on a stage where i used to put out a quality product with musicians that could really play and who really cared ABOUT music..it just got nearly impossible to replace those people who've now gone on to the netherworld, Simply put? there wasn't anyone who could fill their absences. believe me i DID try but came up empty so i jumped the sinking ship and now i just look back smiling wistfully yet sadly alone in the dark, as steely dan once penned in a tune entitled IGY.. "more leisure for artists everywhere" man if THAT wasn't prophetic nothing ever was..
