The "oh hey, Jericho!" Is so wholesome but then it all goes downhill for Jericho from there 😂

Food is an unofficial love language amongst Filipinos. Before I can take my shoes off at a party, I have a Tita shoving a plate in my hand saying “Eat, Anak! Eat, eat!” It’s funny, our titas shove food in our faces, and then have the nerve to tell us we’re either too skinny or too fat.

I've heard from former mormons that the amount of money you get for food while on your mission is very little so him visiting filipinos and being fed great food can definitely make you love someone.

Jericho can get it. Whatever it is, whatever he wants. Mormonism was a power limiter and he cannot be chained.

Everyone on my dad's side is half or more filipino and I can confirm they feed you and make the best food lmao

For anyone wondering: mormon missionaries often have dinner with the people they convert.

I'm an ex Mormon who was a missionary. You would be surprised how much "other people feeding you" has to do with converting people.

We ate at other people's houses a lot.

I just love how she's like "probably didn't convert anyone" and he just goes
*"actually... 😏"*

As a Filipino, I can safely say that we greet each other with "Have you eaten yet?" And when we hear you haven't, we insist on getting some food in you as soon as possible

That’s def a cultural thing that happens in many places that Spain occupied…feeding people is showing love and hospitality, sometimes that’s where the kindness stops 😂 sometimes there’s still so much more to give ❤

so my dad was Mormon and he converted my Filipina mother, HE'S ABSOLUTELY CORRECT I PROMISE YOU, she made 3 pairs of missionaries cry before she got converted, and she always sends missionaries home with extra food

this feels like when someone in your class’s friend pops in and they start having a sweet funny conversation and no one understands but all just listen because it’s nice

As an exmo who served a mission, the church doesn't always give you enought money to buy food in a month (mind you that's the money you paid to go on the mission that they ration back to you) I really liked and appreciated the people who would feed us well ❤️ here's a big thank you to all the people who have helped the misguided missionaries ❤️
