Me being a shrewd negotiator:

Seller: here's a car that has a salvage title, a ton of miles, has been on fire, and currently doesn't run.

Me: so what's the catch?

Thanks everyone for watching. Certainly not a video I expected to make but it has been an interesting catch phrase to develop. Glad everyone is enjoying it.

This is easily the most entertaining, informative, and non-bullshit, automotive youtube channel in existence. No plugging MVMT watches, the video starts right off with the story at hand, no click bait crap. This is good info right here Ed, that not many people know or would share!

Now I need to find a high mileage, former lemon law, damage repaired, bad option, neglected maintenance version of my dream car and explain why I am the perfect buyer.

I just used these tactics to buy a $3k Mercedes in true Ed Bolian fashion. Deal was good enough that I thought I was getting scammed. Story will be told in a future VINWiki video.

If a genie offered me three wishes I would want Kate Upton's affection, David Lee's car collection, and Ed's negotiating skills

I saw "shrewd" in the title so I knew it would be a good video with Ed

Everything Ed says here is gold. My last car I bought for $2k about 6 years ago using just these types of tactics, fixed it up, and drove it trouble free since. Now I bought another and will give the previous one to my sister. If you know what you are doing you can take the risks and take the profits associated with those measured risks. No perfect car will ever be a great deal. Always buy one with problems.

Or really, Ed left off the most important part, is that you need to have a charming smile, a hypnotic voice, be well-spoken, and have a savagely good looking beard.

Ed my friend, VinWiki has educated more people with more useful information than (dare I say) most other automotive YouTubers combined have in their collective time here. Keep up the informative, entertaining, and unique content. Lifetime subscriber here. 👍🏽👍🏽

There should be a conference named "ED TALKS" where he shares his stories while also giving some educational insight to the automotive industry.

I admire the fact that you take the time to build a rapport with who you're dealing with and speak in terms of their interests. The hallmark of a true professional.

When the buyer wants to buy and the seller wants to sell, the rest is just a matter of details.

"don't sell it to someone who isn't me" *instantly liked*

I finally bit the bullet yesterday and found a 04 Jeep Cherokee SE with one owner. I got it checked out and is in absolute perfect condition with only 93k. I feel like from watching these videos and being the shrewd negotiator I am, I drove off in it the next day at a steal of a price! Found it on Facebook and looked at it the same day too! Thanks guys for all the hard work you do, on and off the camera!

It’s amazing Ed can do these videos in one take not all chopped and edited like most you tubers can’t go 10 seconds without chopping their video
