I knew Antonio de Jesus in December 1982. He had just arrived in Mexico from Sinaloa We met through some friends when I was on vacation & visited Mexico for three weeks. My friends set up on a blind date with him! We dated on a blind date. We would walk everywhere because (he -we) didn't owe a vehicle. He told me that he composed music & was selling some of his songs. While we talk & walked through parks & to the discotec he would sing to me. We danced the night away. He confessed he liked me a lot & wanted to be my boyfriend. I let him know I was there only for vacation & I had to return to Laredo, Texas. When we said goodbye he beg me to return & that he was willing to wait for me. That's the time he wrote "BAILARINA" " UNA CALLE, UN BANCO UNA PLAZA" "VIDEO CLIP" "NUBE PASAJERA" COMO OLVIDAR" DILE A EL" "ESE SOY YO" " YA NO TE RECUERDO" My friends would call me to let me know that he always asking if they knew when I was coming back to Mexico. My friends let me know that he waited for me to returned. I didn't return until another whole year later! When he became famous. They also said that he wanted to see me & that he wanted to give me an album. A year later I return once again to vacation but he had become famous. When I asked my friends to call him, they (friends) denied me his Phone number # . They told me they thought he would be too busy! . All I wanted to tell him was ..congratulations! Well 35 years have passed by & listening to ANTONIO'S music lyrics is as if it was yesterday. Oh well that is our destination. I have NICE Memories of (him & mine) our youth & innocence for a lifetime! <3
