As I understand it, he will be eligible for the R&R Hall (as a solo artist) in 2020. I know he probably doesn't give a shit. He's had a more lasting, still vibrant, success than most of those folks. He's made his mark on the culture in a quieter way. He's maybe not as experimental as they consider themselves, but he has a depth that many of them don't come close to. Mark, you're the best.

Another excellent song by Mark Knopfler that I haven't heard before...well this goes on my playlist "Best Music of 2000 to 2007"... On another note, 1986 to 2016 seems more and more to me like it was the radio silent era of music....the music I've found by unsigned, signed and independent artists on the internet proves that beyond a shadow of a doubt ;-)
