Asuman Lukwago, a resident of Nyanama in Wakiso District, is appealing for help from the American Embassy after being left crippled in a February accident involving an American diplomat. According to Lukwago, he has incurred medical expenses due to the accident but has received no support. The Traffic Police have confirmed receiving a report about the accident and are seeking clarification on how to handle a matter involving someone with diplomatic status. The police have advised Lukwago to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, noting that the diplomat was at fault.
