Love, love this one. The husband was upset, but not abusive, and he sincerely apologized. The free cupcakes were the cherry on top! If I owned a bakery, I would have also gifted them baked goods. Thats brilliant; I adore small business owners because they have the discretion to make spontaneous acts of kindness.

Okay... As a hairdresser i feel it necessary to come to the defense of the salon. Sometimes people just walk in and nobody is able to serve them in the moment and they get upset and we offer for them to come later or to make an appointment and they don't want to. That's different from 'refusing service'... Lol.
