Here with a sketchbook tour! Honestly ya girl has the hardest time making these videos. I get major brain fog when I have to record my hands and just talk, weird experience. I know ya'll love these videos though so this one is for you!!

As I said in the video there is NO ONE RIGHT WAY to use your sketchbook!! I know mine doesn't looks like the typical "loose" sketches that you might expect to see. But that's just how I use my sketchbook. Please use yours however YOU want to. This is how I like to use mine :-) PLEASE no negativity in the comments about how your sketchbook looks different. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Hey, here's an idea. Maybe when you reach the middle of the sketchbook you turn it around and start over. That way you have a refresh and don't have to deal with the heavy part being on the left. Just a thought, keep it up : )

My husband works in the printing industry so I have the random knowledge that it's called perfect binding. :) & I got into those Strathmore sketchbooks because of you. They're great!

It's so refreshing to see another artist that focuses more on animals than humans. Not that I have anything against people that draw humans, I just tend to fall into a loop of forcing myself to draw things I don't enjoy when I see other people draw them. (I feel like such a failure sometimes that I can't draw people/ don't enjoy it) Seeing this video was really motivating for me! I'm going to experiment with more color :))

thanks for filming this! you embody having fun with a sketchbook and it's always fun to witness. this one was especially inspiring! and it's the kind of inspiring where i'm like "ooh damn that looks like fun, i want to go have fun in my sketchbook!" instead of the usual "wow they're so good at art i need to ~practice~ more ugh" 💗💖💕 love that!!

Leigh, you mentioned when you get towards the end of a sketch book you hate how the bulk is on the opposite side..Have you ever considered turning the book upside down to reset the bulk on the side you prefer it on? Just a thought <3

Instead of fixative I just put a cutout of parchment/wax paper over my sketchbook to prevent smudging! Fixative smells icky, not the vibe. Loved the sketchbook tour as always!

Totally the same Leigh when I get towards the end - I'm over it and I also am not a fan of sketchbook tours but I enjoyed yours - great work in it!

Leigh! you don't need to buy expensive stuff to make the grafite not go all over the place. Back in art school a professor told us to use hair spray (ultra hold) to fix the colors for pastels and other materials like it. Obviously wont work like the professional stuff but most households have hair spray and its cheap af. Cheers from Canada :D
