1 - ORAS definitely, the correct way to make remakes, only negatives it had was no Battle Frontier and it was a bit too easy, especially with the event/launch Pokemon they gave us and Mega evolution access.
2 - X&Y very ambitious games jumping into the 3D era and introducing Megas, just a small dex and seemingly small region imo
3 - Ultra S/M - Honestly, regular Sun and Moon felt like a beta compared to this
4 - Sun and Moon, I was actually so hyped for these initially but they were very slow paced, cut-scened, and easy.

My biggest issue with S/M were the barriers to different areas. You'd get to a new island and there would be blockades literally everywhere preventing you from exploring.

He put them in the right order. Sun and moon and USUM had great Pokémon, ideas, etc. They had all the pieces for a great game but they didn’t take care of the most important aspect: BEING FUN TO PLAY. The amount of handholding and cutscenes completely derails what could’ve been a super fun playthrough. X/Y and ORAS were simply MORE FUN to play even if they’re more formulaic.

1. ORAS (Best Pokemon games out of all of the main series games and best remakes besides HGSS)

2. XY (Best first version pair and the most replayable games in the franchise)

3. USUM (Lackluster barely improved games)

4. SM (Bad and pointless games)

When I remember 3DS Pokemon, I really only remember Gen 6 and the Gen 5 spin-off games. XY, ORAS, Super Mystery Dungeon, Gates to Infinity, Rumble Blast, Rumble World, Art Academy, and everything else from 2011-2015 were what defined 3DS Pokemon.

The only thing that defined post-2015 3DS Pokemon were the VC ports of RGBY and GSC. Maybe the TCG and its sequel. Everything else sucked hard.
