Asgore content let’s gooo! Asgore has always been my favorite character, a burdened king with a life of war and tragedy, and despite his suffering, sins, and cowardice, he still strives to be kind to all, even the very humans he kills.

This song has been on loop in my brain now. It’s amazing how well this song aligns with Asgore, especially the mention of seeing his son and wife and the idea of man becoming a monster. The repeating of "forgive me" as he faces the final human in his path of bloodshed is so fitting for him.

Stuff like this makes me happy that more people are realizing how tragic Asgore is as a character. When you look at it, you can tell he never wanted any of this. He never wanted to kill humans, of any age, he never wanted to collect souls, all he wanted was peace. But between losing his children, the fading hope of monsterkind, being trapped in the underground by a society that shuns and hates them, he took on the burden of war and doing whatever it takes to make sure his people survived, no matter the cost. Great animatic, keep up the amazing work. <3

Okay, but jokes aside, Asgore is genuinely one of my absolute favorite characters in the game ever and so many people in the fandom seem to hate him which is so upsetting because, while I don't excuse his actions, I fully understand them and I don't think he was ever a bad person. He's such an interesting character, being so racked with guilt over the humans hes killed, his inability to save his son, his and Alphys' shared guilt over the experiments all while trying his best to continue being kind is so compelling. He truly wishes you no harm, but is willing to do what he has to for the sake of his people. Fuck, I love this game😭😭

Honestly after learning more about asgore as a character I really liked his well character and I feel shame how community represents him as a monster (Ironic) when you know *FLOWEY EXISTS* who cannonicly tortured and killed a bunch of monsters for fun.
