Rust Proof Your Snowblower!

Step by Step!

Today we'll be Rust Proofing my snow blower, using some Wurth Rost Off Gold.

The roads where I I live get heavily salted in the winter time, and that snow from the road will inevitably get pushed into your drive way. Combine that with melting snow from the rock salt you may use on your drive way to prevent ice, and that's a recipe for rust!

Using some rust inhibitor (any brand of product will work) simply spray and wipe down your entire snow blower, to provide a layer of protection!

One thing I didn't find until I cleaned the shop up today (after this video was filmed) I have an old can of Würth Film (they discontinued that name and it's now called Corrosion Protection Spray) it says it's supposed to be good on paint, so I'll try that stuff on another snowblower and let you guys know what I think of it!

Great advice, and the money paid for all of those products is worth every penny.

Don't neglect your machines, people. The Blower I bought for $1, 029 in 2018 is now listing for $2, 099. Yes, more than DOUBLE.

Taking an hour or so to protect your investment is just common sense.

Just used the Krown from E Shine in Port Colborne on a push mower deck with their new spray cans they have out, works amazing. They have the attached spray nozzle like WD40 has that locks in a down position for storage and even comes with a safety lock that you can pull out then just push back in. Stores much easier than the spray cans with red tubes which sometimes fly off.

Good to know...will rust proof my new blower...up here in Bancroft they spray calcium on the road for dust control...highly corrosive when it turns to mud in the winter.
