Thanks again Dr B! This is the best music theory video series I've seen on youtube and has really helped me expand and solidify my knowledge. I also got the book Tonal Harmony to go along. This channel is a quality resource for understanding music theory. Rock on!

Thanks. The identification of modulatory elements in Diatonic chords are the same as Altered chords or upper structures of scales (Notes)

Great explanation of modulations: any chance of revealing which piece of Schubert are those chords from?

Hi Dr B,

I have a quick question. In the modulation by common tone example the original key is B minor which then modulates to D major by the common tone F#. As D major is the relative major of B minor is this a true modulation?

Hi, I am listening to the classes, and I am learning a lot, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I have a question: what is a chord polarization?

It would be nice, if you could answer me.

All best, Danielle - Brasil
