A VERY diy Living Room Makeover with Gallery Wall

Little did I know, I needed some sprucing up in my apartment! My friend Grace came to down and we decided to rearrange and “feng shui” my living room area. After a bit of moving things around, we thought we would make a shelf to cover the back of my couch, since that became more of the focal point when you entered my apartment. I had never built a shelf before so it was definitely a learning experience.. as you’ll see. Haha

I had so much of my art laying around, and I don’t know why I never considered turning all of my art/favorite artwork into a gallery wall, but I’m glad I did! I think it’s the highlight of the whole place now.

Even the shelf turned out alright! With a little help from my friend Brady who actually had a drill bit. So, here’s a bit of my messy diy journey. I never thought I would have so much fun. It’s not a very technical video but it was fun to make nevertheless.

The shelf cost about $100 including wood, screws, brackets, and legs. So, overall I would say quite a success!

I can say after “feng shuiing” my apartment, I found a new career, got a job offer, came into some riches, and opened my heart to love. Only three of those are true, but I can safely say it worked for me and it might just work for you too.
