A few days ago i met a moth at home and they spent almost an hour just skating and jumping on things and trying out random emotes and trying to unlock all the actions in our friend tree but failing to understand how to use each one. When they finally did, they proceeded to high five me 20 times.

Tried to talk to them through a table, I said hello, and they just honked and tried to climb the eden door.

I finally had my first full playthrough after years of neglecting sky. Until I got to Eden I was absolutely fine soloing the whole thing but one foot inside that absolute nightmare, I decided that I don't want to do this alone and had to jump in to the ice cold pond of "having to interact with strangers".

My poor introvert heart died a little when I found a veteran player that was willing to help me out. They dragged me through most of it and I felt really, really, really bad because they had to rescue me so much but in the end I was happy that I found company for that scary place.

All the helpful Sky players out there have my absolute respect and gratitude. You're awesome.

This happened to me today but instead of yanking me through wasteland, they took me to the sanctuary island and spent a good 45 minutes throwing us into the geysers so we roll and hit the ground.

More than a year ago, when I was still a moth myself, a met a girl a few years younger than me named Kokoro. And whenever I see animations like this I can't help but think of her. I found her at the entrance to the graveyard, and since I genuinely enjoyed Gw at the time, I took her hand.

Well, come to find out about a month later that she was TERRIFIED. standing at that doorway, looking down at the bones and kills below, she had contemplated turning off the game entirely because the wasteland played on all of her fears. Well. Then I came up to her. A friendly stranger, and offered her a hand. I guided her safely through the wasteland. I was the reason she stayed. The reason the felt safe and fell in love with Sky.

We've been completely inseperable since. I'm honoured that such a small action had such a huge impact on her. She's one of my best friends. And I'm grateful every day that I have her in my life

I personally haven't had this moment with being brought to GW or Eden, but I've had Moths grab my hand at Hidden Forest, sometimes with a full LEGION of Moths already holding onto them.

Maybe one day a Moth will lead me to GW and I'll die inside. ❤️

I can relate on both sides, but the thing is when I was a moth my veteran just stared at me at a distance not holding my hand, So I guess I gave them a free show during that, My moth now tho is ermm optimistic about the krills saying they're just nice animals wanting attention, so I let them be, though I lost a 'lot' of wls trying to drive the krill away from them everytime they try to ride it 💀

Not quite a moth, but just earlier today I got adopted by a veteran who decided to basically just taxi me around to all the wls I was missing and show me a safer way to the end of eden with a glitch, and it was super fun, they were super cool! There was also one point in gw when I was in the middle of typing and a krill spotted us, and they tried to fly off and accidentally let go of my hand and left me, but then immediately tried to come back for me, and I got nailed by the krill while they just got grazed, they helped me get all my wls back that it knocked out of me and refilled my energy with their candle, but then the krill spotted us AGAIN, and we both bolted but ended up going in opposite directions, and I realized I couldn't fly fast enough to get away so I just landed and slowly walked away from them until right before it swooped and I flew to the side really quick and DODGED THAT SHIT BY THE SKIN OF MY TEETH and turns out I had also ended up luring the krill away from them in the process and gave them enough time to take cover in a pipe, and then I ran and rounded up all the wls they had dropped and took cover with them JUST BARELY IN TIME to avoid being spotted AGAIN and I'm still not over it tbh I can hardly believe I actually pulled all that shit off I felt like a god damn SUPERHERO I'm so fucking proud of myself lol

I was a TLP moth and the closest thing I had to a veteran adopting me was someone who led me to PNR in Eden and then logged off, only logging on a couple more times after that before abandoning the game entirely.

Since then, I've helped out quite a few moths, though all have either stopped playing the game or don't talk to me because I'm too socially awkward to even start a conversation or teleport to anyone (though many of them still bow or emote at me when I see them around).

One interaction that always sticks with me though is when one former moth, after doing a bunch of emotes towards me, had a friend presumably ask them who I was. They responded that I was the one who took them through Eden the first time. They left for prairie after that but something about seeing this sky-kid, now wearing a bunch of fancy cosmetics, remember me even after so much time has really stuck with me. To this day, they still emote at me for at least 3 minutes every time they see me.

ive observed that it much more kinder for your mental health to just let them drag you and have a good time rather than trying your best to lead them and have them not following because theyre new and confused 99% of the time, also they get to learn from experience, , wouldnt die either since youre watching over them anw, win win

I decided to let a moth lead the way in Wasteland, and after showing them to avoid krill, they flew us directly into the face of one.

I let go and left them to their chosen fate.

1:33 lol My first time playing I went through all the realms then ended up at Eden and ofc I thought it wouldn't be that big a deal, so I didn't read the warnings about losing my light, so after Eden I got angry bc I just lost all my light so I rage quit and looked up why I lost my light and found out it's just part of the game to lose your light in Eden. Having to level spirits to get light back after reincarnation and having to find them again to level up your wings is like...the main point of the game xD I'm sure a lot of new people don't understand that so once they lose it all and see the end credits they stop playing a quit bc they think the game was over.
